The changes in my appearance have not been the most important aspects of my health transformation in the past seven years. However, it's cosmetic differences that get people's attention, so I intend to chronicle them here.
This photo was taken when I was still in the hands of the allopathic medical industry. I was 51 but looked (and felt) 70.
Change started when I had 13 mercury amalgam fillings removed from my teeth.
I was able to put on weight, and no longer looked like a skeleton with skin stretched over it. (This photo was professionally taken for work, and I expect it was touched up. My skin probably wasn't THAT good, but it had certainly improved considerably.)
[None cosmetic changes: My eyesight, hearing, brain power and gut all improved significantly.]
Then I discovered Youngevity. (The diet and nutrition programme developed by Dr Joel Wallach.)
My face (cheek, jaw, and chin bones) regrew.
And my hair came back.
[None cosmetic changes: I was bent over, could barely walk, it was taking me 5 minutes to get out of a chair, and I was in pain 24/7. I'm now standing straight, walking 95% better and I'm pain free.]
Life was much better, but I still couldn't sleep through the night. I felt if I could only solve that problem, I would be Superwoman. My holistic dentist said he could help and showed me evidence that my airway was very narrow and he would help widen it. I asked if the treatment was painful. He said not at all. So I decided to try it.
These are before and after photos one month into the treatment (it could take up to a year). As you can see, my eyes, nose, and mouth have centralised. My skin has tightened and my shoulders are level.
In the last few days, I've felt the shape of my mouth change, and the pressure on my sticking out front teeth has been released, so I'm expecting more cosmetic changes. (Don't ask me to explain how the treatment works. I've no idea. My dentist says it's quantum medicine rather than Newtonian. Work that out!)
What Youngevity and the dentist's treatment have in common seems to be epigenetics. They both rely on the body's ability to heal itself.
What I haven't done in the last 7 years is been to an MD, taken drugs, or had surgery.

Twice a year, I spend a couple of days preparing the end of semester paperwork. Doing so this time has highlighted 2 health improvements.
(P.S. I’m currently checking foods to see if more food allergies have resolved. I’ve eaten tomatoes for the past 3 days and had no adverse reaction. I’m hoping I can them to my growing list of safe foods.)

When I first started Youngevity my focus was on my left hip because it was giving me the most problems (and it still is, but it has improved enormously). However, nutrition doesn't focus on one body part like allopathic medicine.
Recently I've noticed more improvement in the lightness and flexibility in my arms. I can now easily do I child's monkey impersonation, bringing my left arm to my left armpit and my right to my right. When I dry my hair, I can easily reach up with both arms. Furthermore, I can lean my head back and feel wonderful flexibility in my back and shoulders.
I'm also walking a bit quicker than I was 10 weeks ago. I know this because the walk home from the station involves crossing two roads. You have to wait for the lights by the first road, and if you're not fast enough, you have to wait again at the second road. It used to be a challenge to walk across both roads on one light change. Now it's easy.

In the last 2 weeks, I've found I can now do several things I haven't been able to do that for years.
1) When lying on my right side in bed, I can now comfortably put my left leg on the bed in front of me.
2) When lying on my left side in bed, I can now lift my right leg up to touch my chest without causing tingling in my hands and feet.
3) When sitting on a chair in a restaurant, I can now comfortably tuck my left leg under the chair between the chair legs. (For years, I had to have my leg sticking out in front of me. More recently, I've been able to tuck my leg in between the chair leg and the table leg.)
4) When exercising, I can now lift both arms up over my head equally. (For a long time, I've been able to lift the right arm well, but not the left.)
PRAISE THE LORD!

Since I was able to update my Youngevity programme (due to resolved food allergies), my progress has definitely accelerated. Here are the things I've noticed in the past 2 weeks.
1) For years I've been carrying a backpack because a heavy shoulder bag on one side would make the twist in my gait worse. I've noticed this week I can carry a heavy shoulder bag without affecting my gait.
2) The muscles around my left hip now still feel as strong after 5 hours teaching as they do before (although there's still a bit of an ache).
3) If I remember to stretch my back when I walk, I can very nearly look like I'm walking normally (although I can feel that I'm not). Certainly my goal of walking normally is getting closer. WATCH THIS SPACE.

In this interview, Dr Wallach explains very clearly about chronic disease and nutritional deficiencies.

I was born in Yorkshire, England in 1959, and I was in ill-health from day one. At the age of twenty-three, I gave birth to my son, Timothy, who was born severely handicapped and died at the age of nine. I continued to struggle with my health. By the time I was fifty-three, I was in crisis. I was bent over to the left, I could barely walk and I was in constant pain. My left leg was almost useless. I couldn’t bend my ankle or toes, and the muscles on my left thigh looked like those of a ninety- year-old. Life was daily trauma, and I wanted to die.
I prayed and, for the first time, I started to see my health struggle as a spiritual battle. I searched my King James Bible and started to call on the Lord Jesus Christ to deliver me from the destructive schemes of the enemy. After months of this, I felt God tell me that I had broken through, and I would now find the answer.
Then I discovered Dr Joel Wallach and started his nutrition and diet programme. I took the ‘Mighty 90’, the ninety essential nutrients our body needs to maintain optimal health. Within five days I knew I’d found the answer to health. Within six months, I was standing straight and was substantially out of pain. After being on the programme for a couple of years, I was walking 95% better, and I felt well for the first time in my life.
So, what was I to do with my new lease of life? I still couldn’t run a marathon, but I now had margin. I could do more than just survive. I had my brain back. I could concentrate, think, analyze, reason, create.
So, I started writing novels.
My first novel is I’m Sorry, Oliver. The protagonist, Sylvia Keighley follows my own health story.
My second novel is An Untimely Birth. My aim is to examine the spiritual roots of modern medicine through an exciting adventure story.
I have plans for more novels and short stories. I hope you enjoy reading my books. Please feel free to contact me.
God bless you.
